3D Displays Using Interleaved Fresnel Lenses
摘要
We propose a 3D display system based on coarse integral imaging with a seamlessly aligned Fresnel lens array composed of interleaved elemental lenses. By using elemental lenses with smaller widths, the parallax between adjacent elemental images is reduced, resulting in improved image continuity. Additionally, the smaller parallax leads to clearer images with minimal blurring, even when the images are blended by the interleaved Fresnel lens array. To address the issue of a narrow viewing zone due to the smaller elemental lenses, eye-tracking technology is used to follow the motion of the viewer, enabling the generation of light space with high spatial resolution. Real-time generation of elemental images is achieved on iPhone and iPad platforms. Uniformity of image is improved by using an EL display in place of an LCD display.
