Interactive Gaming Therapy for Children with Cerebral Palsy
摘要
Cerebral palsy (CP) is a type of motor disability that impairs hand use in children reducing their developmental play potential. The proposed solution to this problem is our work in which we seek to design a novel, engaging, hand motion gaming solution for children with cerebral palsy. Through hand movement sensing input and combining all of the operations into an actual game that children can play, which is cost-effective acts as an addition to therapy and can improve children hand mobility. The system offers constant feedback and records the improvement in hand mobility and child enjoys the therapy process. This approach yields physically and emotionally improved results in children who are receiving therapy.
