Energy Efficiency Analysis of IEEE 802.15.4 Network Using Modified AODV Routing
摘要
This project analyzes how modified AODV routing protocol named AODV Energy-Efficient Protocol (AODVEEP) affects energy efficiency in IEEE 802.15.4 networks. Network performance with energy usage undergoes analysis by conducting NS2 simulations which examines four main controller parameters namely node numbers with traffic flows and packet rates and coverage areas. AODV receives improvements through optimized modifications that improve energy effectiveness along with minimal delay time and minimal packet loss rate. A comprehensive analysis between energy usage and throughput and reliability helps produce insights for developing wireless systems that consume efficient energy. The implementation of AODVEEP results in lower overall energy expenditures while giving improved data transmission success rates than standard AODV so it fits well for IoT and smart home operations. This study demonstrates that the examined network configurations show resistance to changes in operational conditions which enhances their potential for practical deployment applications. The research results advance the creation of sustainable wireless communication protocols that operate efficiently.
