This paper evaluates the potential of LTE in supporting IoT applications by enhancing connectivity, coverage, and data efficiency. This article presents the LTE advancements, including Narrowband IoT (NB-IoT), Relay Nodes, and optimized resource allocation techniques for IoT integration. The findings indicate that LTE adaptations significantly improve IoT support, ensuring scalability, low-power consumption, and robust security. The study concludes that LTE’s versatility and adaptability make it a sustainable solution for current and future IoT applications, particularly in scenarios where 5G is unavailable.
