This chapter explores the coloniality of a militarized Pakistani International Relations through its connection to neoliberal education policies. It argues that intellectual elites in postcolonial societies remain tied to state power, and in Pakistan, the International Relations academe has consistently supported state policies since 1947. The neoliberal corporatization of Pakistan’s knowledge economy in 2002 further restricted alternative thinking by granting university status to military-affiliated institutes. As a result, International Relations departments became concentrated in these institutions, narrowing the field to analyses that endorsed national security policies. The chapter concludes that the dominance of militarized academics in publishing networks reinforced this trend, turning Pakistani International Relations into a militarized hub of knowledge that upholds colonial power structures.
