The chapter argues that uncritical acceptance of Western theories and international standards cannot be understood without studying Pakistan’s colonial past. It traces the rise of social sciences in colonial India, the neoliberal reforms of the 2000s that turned universities into corporate knowledge factories, and their impact on Pakistani International Relations. Ultimately, it concludes that Pakistani International Relations reflects a continued intellectual imperialism, as the end of colonial rule and later neoliberal reforms preserved the coloniality of knowledge and power.
