Conventional reinforced concrete (RC) beam-column (BC) joints often suffer severe damage including concrete crushing and steel bars buckling, which is difficult for repairing. In order to achieve the objective of seismic resilience, tests of pinned RC slotted joints are conducted to explore the seismic performance and low-damage behavior. Two specimens were fabricated, with one being a conventional BC joint, intended for comparative analysis. The results showed that pinned RC slotted joints exhibited excellent energy dissipation capacities and less beam elongation. Furthermore, under high displacement demands, pinned RC slotted joints incur less damage to concrete structures, showcasing high repairability.

摘要
