Algorithmic Simplicity: A Step Towards Intelligent Analysis
摘要
With AI gaining immense popularity, we are led to examine human modes of analysing (thinking) about the problems at hand. The plasticity in our brains can seldom be matched by classical computer programs although computers are a million times faster in execution. By choosing a simple problem as an example—suit recognition of playing cards—we illustrate how ‘algorithmic simplicity’ plays a role in human analysis. This kind of approach can be followed in other complex situations to yield intelligent solutions towards complex problems that AI based programs wish to address. This paper is written with pedagogical goals in mind, and the target is undergraduates in IT and Computer specializations. They will get enough ideas if they practice algorithms and coding as described in this paper.
