The relationship between tea and religion involves two aspects: first, the contribution of the religious community to the tea industry and culture during the Song Dynasty, and second, the role of tea in religious life. Meanwhile, during the Song Dynasty, there was a special connection between tea and religion. Chinese tea culture spread overseas, especially to Japan, through the dissemination of religious culture, thus becoming the origin of Japanese tea ceremony culture.
