An Integrated Ergonomic Evaluation Method for the Comfort of Multifunctional Integrated Tractor Handles

The comfort performance evaluation of multifunctional integrated tractor handles is crucial in the field of agricultural mechanization, especially for operators of high-power tractors who frequently use handles that do not adhere to ergonomic principles and are at a higher risk of musculoskeletal injuries. This study utilizes surface electromyography (sEMG) for data acquisition, integrating time and frequency domain analyses with subjective scales to assess the ergonomics of multifunctional integrated tractor handles with various shapes and layout designs. The results indicate a moderate correlation between subjective evaluations and objective electromyographic data, revealing varying fatigue effects on the thenar muscle group and deltoid muscles from different handles. Moreover, the study finds limitations in the single-factor evaluation method when assessing the multifunctional integrated handles and suggests a weight allocation method that comprehensively considers subjective and objective evaluation indicators. The proposed method aims to establish a comprehensive ergonomic evaluation system for the comfort of multifunctional integrated handles on tractors, providing valuable insights for the design optimization of related handles.
