The use of agrochemicals and the work of Public Health Agents are essential in vector management in Public Health. However, occupational exposure to these products can cause significant harm to human health, making workplace safety practices indispensable to prevent risks of intoxication. This study, conducted in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul, involved ergonomic analysis of the work of Public Health Agents, observing their activities between January and May 2019. The results indicate that approximately 70% of working time is dedicated to health education, and 80% involves interaction with the public and handling of information. Exposure to agrochemicals and adverse weather conditions represents a significant occupational risk. Furthermore, the inconsistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) exacerbates health risks. The research highlights the urgent need for continuous training and implementation of effective protection measures to ensure the safety and well-being of these professionals.
