Several regions of the European Union have natural infrastructures made up of inland waterways. However, the transport services used for these rivers lack both eco-efficient and socially inclusive design, which instead may enable people (users, stakeholders, policymakers, etc.) to properly use them and sustainably. The lack of design references such as scientific works and case studies, and the need of the EU for future urban mobility that is more sustainable and socially inclusive, are the background from which this research moves. This paper aims to fill this gap by conceptualizing an inclusive inland waterway transport service and provides useful guidelines for intramodality transportation “for All”.

摘要
