This paper describes the objective and contributions of the symposium titled Gender, intersectionality, power issues and harmful working conditions held as part of the 22nd International Congress of the IEA. This symposium is part of the activities of the Gender & Work Technical Committee, organized by Marie Laberge. The contributions focus on the possible intersections between work activities, work determinants, particularly workplace power dynamics, and the work situations of marginalized subpopulations based on gender, disability, or ethnicity.
