Artificial Intelligence (AI) is emerging as a revolutionary tool in Maxillofacial Prosthodontics, offering innovative solutions for one of the most challenging aspects of prosthetic rehabilitation that is shade selection. Traditional shade matching techniques are often subjective and inconsistent, leading to aesthetic discrepancies in prostheses. Recent advances in AI, driven by machine learning, deep learning, and image processing algorithms, are transforming this process by enhancing precision, reproducibility of soft tissue details, and efficiency. This research paper explores the evolving role of AI in shade selection, emphasizing its integration with Computer-Aided Design and Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) and 3D printing technologies, Augmented Reality as well as its application in tele-dentistry. Future directions for AI include improved image-based shade matching, personalized shade selection through data mining, and the development of predictive models for long-term prosthetic outcomes. Additionally, AI is expected to enable real-time feedback systems and support remote consultations, expanding access to care in under-served regions. Despite these promising developments, challenges remain, including the need for large, high-quality datasets and clear ethical and regulatory frameworks. Addressing these challenges will be crucial for the successful clinical adoption of AI in Maxillofacial Prosthodontics, paving the way for a more consistent and patient-centered approach to shade selection.

摘要
