Nanobiotechnology for Intelligent Delivery Systems

Recently, research and technological developments have revolutionized and redefined the biotechnology sector, specifically at the interface between nanotechnology and biotechnology, converging to form the new field of nanobiotechnology. Nanobiotechnology involves the manipulation of materials at the nanoscale to create innovative solutions for various applications in medicine, agriculture, and environmental science. This interdisciplinary field holds great promise for advancements in drug delivery, disease diagnosis, and sustainable bioproduction. This innovation is now seen as enabling technology platforms in various food and agricultural applications. Little information is available regarding the historical development of bionanotechnology delivery systems, especially for use in agricultural and food applications. However, recent research has shown that bionanotechnology can revolutionize the way we approach food production and crop protection. By utilizing nanoscale materials, scientists can boost nutrient delivery, elevate plant health, and decrease environmental impact in agriculture. However, it is necessary to develop an in-depth understanding of this field, taking into account the potential impact of nanobiotechnology, along with the social and economic factors that influence the use of nanobiotechnology in food production and preservation. By combining nano and biotech, we may be able to solve problems like food insecurity and environmental degradation with a new approach to food production and preservation. While studies in this area are progressing, stakeholders must collaborate and address any ethical and regulatory concerns that may arise from the widespread adoption of nanobiotechnology in the food industry. It is important for stakeholders to proactively communicate the safety measures in place and the potential benefits of this technology to consumers.
