CleanBot—An Autonomous Solution for Removal of Plastic from Water Bodies

Everything in this world is being automated day by day (Raihan et al. in A novel approach for waste collection: automated waste collecting robot with advanced image recognition technology and onboard robotic arm, pp 218–221, 2020) [4]. So, to tighten up the issue of waste build-up in water bodies, an automated collection of waste is a measure that has to be undertaken. Since the collection of waste manually consumes a lot of time and energy, the collection of waste has always been a tiresome work for humans. CleanBot—a self-sustaining waste removal system makes it extremely easy. The camera recognition system mounted on the robot sweeps through the area recognizes and allows the robot to easily collect the waste. The machine learning algorithm allows the robot to easily recognize an object and verify if the recognized object is a waste or not. Thus, the robot helps in keeping water bodies clean. It can do the job easily that humans take a long time to do. It is more convenient since it does not require any hand monitoring and keeps the area cleaner.
