Degenerative spine disorder is a common condition affecting adolescents and people of older age worldwide. It represents a spectrum of changes resulting from wear and tear of the spine, involving the intervertebral discs, facet joints, and ligaments. Proper treatment requires accurate clinical and radiological diagnosis. Radiological diagnosis demands various imaging modalities, namely, X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, and PET scans. X-rays are the first-line imaging modality in most degenerative spine disorder cases. MRI is considered the gold standard and plays a pivotal role in diagnosis.
