This chapter discusses the multiple factors influencing Hadis’ perceptions about cost management in accessing different types of health institutions for health care. The higher cost of consultation and treatment in private health care institutions is a barrier to accessing health care. A discussion on private and public health care also brings to the surface the process of dealing with the illness of Hadis. The increasing cost of treatment in urban private hospitals and clinics run by qualified doctors is out of reach for patients like the Hadis. This chapter analyses the experiences of Hadis with various health care institutions in different types of hospitals, RMPs, and traditional healers.
