Lipectomy
摘要
Understanding the role and scope of lipectomy in the management of lipedema is crucial for both patients and healthcare providers navigating treatment options for this complex condition. Lipedema is a chronic disorder characterized by the abnormal accumulation of fat in the lower extremities, leading to pain, tenderness, and, in many cases, mobility issues. Despite being a predominantly nonsurgical condition, surgical interventions such as lipectomy have emerged as significant options for managing advanced cases where conservative treatments have not yielded sufficient relief.
