In order to safely store and assess COVID-19 test findings, this chapter suggests a blockchain-based design for decentralised health networks. The technology safeguards test findings, making them unchangeable, traceable, and impervious to manipulation or unauthorised access. Public events and airports, for example, may verify that attendees have tested negative for COVID-19 using blockchain technology and smart contracts, which allow laboratories to safely store and share test results with authorised parties. The design is versatile and may be used for a variety of tests since it is compatible with immunological chromatography and polymerase chain reaction. Proving the system’s viability, the prototype is implemented on Ethereum. With smart contracts, businesses, labs, and people may more easily govern access and send and receive data securely. Test data transportation in the prototype is ensured via TLS encryption and a graphical user interface. This solution enables safe health data management beyond COVID-19 testing and tackles the problems associated with pandemic data management by establishing a decentralised trust mechanism for health information.
