Vascular diseases mainly include vascular tumors and vascular malformations, which primarily affect the head and neck region. They are common in skin, subcutaneous, and mucosal tissues and can also affect internal organs, making effective treatment essential. Recent advancements in therapies such as photodynamic therapy (PDT) and antiangiogenic medicines offer new hope for more effective management. Among these, hematoporphyrin monomethyl ether-mediated PDT (HMME-PDT) has proven particularly effective and safe for treating skin vascular tumors and malformations. This chapter explores the application of HMME-PDT in the treatment of red wine stains and other vascular diseases.
