Evaluating the Influence of Demographic Shifts on Military Anthropometric Databases
摘要
This study statistically estimated the anthropometric characteristics of the current U.S. Army by applying statistical weighting to the ANSUR II (U.S. Army Anthropometric Survey 2012, [1]) working databases (WDs) to allow for accurate demographic representation of the current U.S. Army population. This process predicted the differences in anthropometric characteristics of the current U.S. Army compared to the ANSUR II WDs, owing to proportional shifts in subpopulations based on race and age. The resulting predictive analysis will inform related efforts to ensure that the anthropometric databases for the U.S. Army remain relevant and valid.
