Investigation of Mechanical Properties of Concrete with Copper Oxide Nanoparticle as Partial Replacement of Cement
摘要
This study explores the influence of substituting cement with copper oxide (CuO) nanoparticles on the strength properties of concrete. Concrete mixes were prepared to achieve target strengths of M20, M25, and M30 incorporating CuO nanoparticles at replacement levels of 3–9% by volume. Various strength parameters, including compressive, flexural, and tensile strengths, were evaluated. The results reveal an enhancement in all measured strength properties as the CuO nanoparticle content increases. These encouraging findings highlight the potential of using CuO nanoparticles as a partial cement replacement in concrete.
