The growth of underground engineering projects has been witnessed around the world to facilitate regional communication and support economic development and relieve traffic pressure. Tunnel boring machines (TBM) have been extensively accepted and used in underground projects due to their fast speed, high safety, low cost, and easy operation. In the operation, the deviation of the position may interfere with the tunneling route and disturb the surrounding underground environment, resulting in increased safety risks, thus affecting the construction schedule and cost with increasing operation time. Therefore, the TBM tunneling position is critical to the successful construction of underground engineering projects.
