This study examined the choice of implants, implant materials, duration of implantation and cost of the implant that affect patients’ satisfaction upon the dental implant therapy. The questionnaire-based survey was carried out at the dental unit, Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences, Bhubaneswar; Odisha, India, by the help of dentists available. Most patients (74%) said they first learnt about dental implants through their dentist when they were receiving treatment (38.8%), while 14.0% said it was via news sources. More than 96% of patients said they were highly satisfied with their implantation therapy, however, their main complaints focused on the implants’ accessibility, longevity, and high price. The patients’ satisfaction scores with regard to food impaction and aesthetic problems were also very low after implant therapy. This study offers preliminary data for evaluating the satisfaction of a small group of patients during the study period but more in-depth research may demonstrate the universality.
