WS2 Nanosheet-Based Sensor Device for Iodine Detection in Rock Salt
摘要
To observe the presence of iodine ion in rock salt, here we proposed to use a simple two terminal sensor. The liquid-exfoliated WS2 nanosheets were used for sensing the change in conductivity of the water in presence of different salts. The structural properties of the nanosheets are verified from X-ray diffraction (XRD) and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) images. A unique response observed in electrical conductivity in presence of rock salt when swept in the voltage range 0–2 V. The presence of iodine in rock salt could be responsible for such deviation as compared to other electrolyte solutions.
