The increasing adoption of smart vehicles necessitates advanced safety systems to mitigate accident risks and enhance emergency response. This study presents AcciShield, an intelligent accident detection and alert system designed for smart cars. AcciShield integrates multiple hardware and software components to ensure real-time accident detection and rapid emergency notifications. The system employs accelerometers to detect sudden impacts, triggering an alert through a buzzer to warn the driver. Simultaneously, a GSM module sends automated notifications to emergency contacts, while a GPS module provides precise location data for quicker response times. To minimize false alarms, AcciShield incorporates a camera system that captures accident images, which are then analyzed by a machine-learning algorithm hosted on a server. This AI-based approach effectively distinguishes real accidents from false triggers, enhancing system reliability. The seamless integration of these components enables accurate accident detection and immediate assistance, significantly improving road safety. By leveraging IoT and AI technologies, AcciShield offers a cost-effective and scalable solution for smart transportation. Its real-time monitoring, automated alerts, and intelligent validation mechanism make it a vital addition to modern vehicle safety systems. This research highlights the effectiveness of AcciShield in reducing response time and improving emergency interventions, ultimately contributing to safer roads and smarter driving environments.
