The whole world is combating to minimize the challenges associated with rapid urbanization, climate change induced impacts and disasters and food insecurity. Urbanization, food security, and climate change are the three key concerning issues of all nations, irrespective of developed and developing. However, the trend and challenges associated with urbanization, food security, and climate-induced disasters are not same in all parts of the world. It is estimated that by 2050 about 2.5 billion people will be added in urban areas around the world and projected that 90% of this increase will take place in Asia and Africa, where poverty, food insecurity, and climate-induced disasters are relatively higher than other parts of the world. How urbanization, food security, and climate disaster resilience are shaping each other in different parts of the world is important to take need oriented integrated policy and action planning. Therefore, this chapter highlights the trend and challenges associated with the triple nexus of Urbanization, Food Security, and Climate Disaster Resilience around the world.
