Artificial intelligence and information technology are vital to the preservation of social order in the course of social evolution. The use of information technology has completely changed the way we work, live, and engage with our environment. A significant use of information technology in this subject is the widespread deployment of video surveillance systems in public and urban settings. This paper presents an intelligent surveillance camera system, called SentinelAI, based on AI. This system is designed to keep an eye on and safeguard places like residences, banks, and retail establishments. The YOLOv9 model is used to create and implement the proposed system. This model is among the most recent, advanced, and accurate object detection models. In addition, object tracking uses the Deep SORT concept. SentinelAI will immediately notify management or authorities via Telegram when it detects someone entering the monitored area. This increases the key areas’ safety and security and enables managers and authorities to act swiftly in response to atypical circumstances.
