This section describes the construction process of the WLS magnet which incorporates considerations in the design process and developing core manufacturing technologies. Fabricated metal-insulated HTS coils are individually tested in liquid nitrogen to confirm their performance. After that, every pancake coil is stacked and assembled on the cover iron yoke. Finally, the magnet is installed at the in-house conduction cooling test facility.
