This précis highlights the emergence of environmental peacebuilding as a growing field of research and practice, referencing environmental degradation and despoilation, including climate change. Despite promising developments, there remains a critical need to understand the true impact of environmental peacebuilding efforts. The précis identifies this gap and recommends further research into the role of evaluation criteria. By addressing this, the précis aims to contribute to the development of more robust and impactful environmental peacebuilding strategies.
