Cloud technology offers utility-based IT services to consumers worldwide. The rising demand for cloud technology has generated considerable scientific and commercial interest in the amount of energy consumed. The advancement of cloud technology faces several challenges, such as excessive energy consumption and restricted use of clusters or nodes. In these circumstances, it is essential to achieve both cost-effectiveness and superior service standards. The main objective of this research is to maximize the efficient utilization of data center resources while reducing energy consumption without sacrificing customer demands. We formulate a methodology for task consolidation or virtual machine consolidation to enhance energy efficiency and attain an equitable task execution duration. This simulation assesses the proposed algorithm and contrasts its performance with that of a pre-existing method.
