A Voice-Based Email System for Enhancing Accessibility for Visually Impaired and Illiterate Users
摘要
In today’s digital age, communication has become increasingly accessible and widespread due to advancements in Internet technologies. Email remains a primary medium for digital communication, enabling users to connect and interact with others for personal and business purposes. However, email systems are predominantly designed for users who can see and type, making them inaccessible to visually impaired individuals. The primary objective of this research is to develop a voice-based email system that empowers visually impaired users to send and receive emails without the need for a keyboard or third party’s assistance. This system is also beneficial for illiterate users, allowing them to interact with emails using voice commands. The proposed system leverages speech-to-text and text-to-speech technologies, eliminating the reliance on visual and manual inputs.
