A Study on the Effects of SAF Introduction on Initial Contrail Formation Process Under Simulated In-Flight Conditions
摘要
To understand the effects of SAF introduction on the initial contrail formation process, soot (nvPM) emission data taken from combustion experiments under the condition of a hypothetical in-flight condition was examined to use to estimate the initial crystal formation process. A flight mission analysis utilizing the examined soot emission index presents estimation of the potential of initial contrail formation, and the conditions and effects of low-sooting SAF application on the contrail formulation. The present study only treats the early stage of the contrail formation, a simulated flight path consideration gave insight into the understanding of the onset condition of the contrail.
