Ongoing deterioration of the environment and the instability of the fossil fuel market have increased the pace of the hunt for alternative fuels. Owing to the phenomenal increase in the world’s population, better farming, business, and business endeavors, improved farming and other food production, the production of agricultural waste, the use of renewable fuels, and the emission of harmful gases. There has never been a more pressing demand for agricultural waste to biofuels that is affordable, easily accessible, and safe for the environment. Biofuels are inexpensive, environmentally benign, renewable, and biodegradable fuels made from leftover lignocellulosic biomass by microorganisms. This paper examines the process of turning agricultural wastes into biofuels, focusing on the many applications of bioethanol, biohydrogen, butanol, biomethane, and biodiesel. It is reasonable to draw the conclusion that wastes produced by agricultural processes and activities have value and can be used to help reach the worldwide renewable energy target in an accessible and cost-effective manner. The investigation’s findings will advance our body of knowledge and offer fresh approaches and methods for using agricultural waste. More multidisciplinary research is required to develop cutting-edge, environmentally responsible processes. The present chapter gives a detailed description of various agricultural residues that can be used to produce diverse value-added products.
