Distinct from the previous chapter where analytical results are interpreted in the order of research questions and their relative hypotheses, research findings here are reorganized to compare the similarities and discrepancies of housing mix practices between western countries and the Chinese context. After presenting a summary of findings for explicit demonstration, major findings are discussed and elaborated to respond to research gaps proposed in the literature review and the theoretical framework of housing mix effects. It also outlines policy implications on the design of housing mix indicators and the place-making of housing mixed neighborhoods, in order to promote the integration of housing mix in the sphere of public policy and local practices.
