The comprehensive procedure of creating molds, especially for making zips, is examined in this review paper. The main technique utilized in producing zips is injection molding, which is highly accurate and efficient. The important steps—material selection, machining, assembly, and overall mold design—are thoroughly examined in this work. The intricate designs of zips are handled by specialized CAD modeling processes, guaranteeing the accuracy and functionality of mold designs. To survive the injection molding process, sturdy mold materials like hardened steel and aluminum alloys must be chosen. The article also covers sophisticated machining methods employed to produce exact mold components, such as CNC milling and Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM). Through a thorough examination of these factors, the study emphasizes the significance of each step during the production process and draws attention to the critical components that go into successfully creating injection molds for the production of zips.
