Design and Analysis of a Template Jig for Manufacturing Process
摘要
High productivity is the primary objective of mass production to minimize price per unit, and interchange ability aims to facilitate assembly effortless. Jigs could have been used to accomplish it. Drill bushes along with additional tool guiding elements come along with jigs. When drilling a hole to a precise location is required, a drilling jig can be used. Therefore, these jigs are made for accurate, precise drill function in this project so that multiple drilling operations can be performed at different positions on the same work piece. Additionally, drilling holes is made less repetitious by the jig, which locates, clamps, and guides the cutting tool. The fundamental components of this design are the drill bushes that are employed to hold the work piece, clamp, and guide the cutting tool. This paper aims to design a jig that can drill four holes in a work piece in just one pass. The work accomplished for mass production is presented in the present paper; Creo Parametric serves as the tool for the modeling and detail drawings.
