This chapter considers the deployment of the Ford system in the German-specific conditions represented by the munition markets in the Nazi era. This chapter analyzes the implementation of standardization of production with the force of government and the flow of production systems based on the expanding munition markets. The chapter first discusses the progress of the standardization of production under the strong involvement of the state. It then examines the introduction of the flow production system and efforts to develop a German-specific style of mass production concerning the characteristics of the munition market. Cases in the electrical engineering, automobile, and machinery industries are explored from the comparative perspective of these industrial sectors. Based on these discussions, the characteristics and limitations in the deployment of the American mass production system represented by the Ford system are clarified in two points: implementing mass production and how the Ford system, based on munition markets, influenced the national economy by creating demands in related industries.

摘要
