Image and Video play a crucial part in the digital world of today, the widespread usage of video and image can be seen over social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube or search engines. People use image and video content for various reasons, some use it for posting their feeds on social media, some for evidence, some for entertainment, and some for gathering news. As the involvement and use of digital media grows, so do the tools, associated with it for tampering and manipulating those contents. These increasing numbers of manipulation tools are posing a threat to the authenticity and trustworthiness of digital content. Those manipulation tools are used for tempering and modifying the digital content for different purposes. This raises serious concerns about the issues that could be created such as defamation, illegal activities, and manipulating public opinion. This again necessitates the urgent need for applications or systems that can eradicate such threats. To achieve this, there is a need to explore the algorithms and methods to overcome the issue and then come up with an application or system to detect such forgeries.
