Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) Revolution

Engine (or motor) power is smoothly and effectively transferred to the car’s driving wheel by a continuously variable gearbox (CVT). A number of CVT models have already been created to reduce transmission losses without sacrificing acceleration time. We developed a novel electromagnetic actuator for CVT because most of them have limitations in their actuation mechanism. By closely examining the kinematics of the CVT clamping forces and electromagnetic forces of the EMA, an analytical model of the electromagnetically actuated CVT is created. The desired CVT ratio will be ascertained by means of the speed and throttle position sensors. The fuzzy logic controller has been utilized to control the actuation because of its ease of use, resilience, and lack of need for an exact mathematical model.
