In the process of advancing Chinese modernization and building a country with a strong transportation network, China’s transportation and logistics industry is accelerating toward comprehensive development and structural optimization. As key modes of transportation, highways, railways, waterways, and aviation all display distinct development trends and characteristics. This chapter analyzes the development of China’s transportation and logistics in 2023 from the perspectives of these four key transport modes.
