Intelligent Forest Protection Framework for Ecosystem Monitoring and Crisis Response

In this study, we present a comprehensive framework for real-time fire and smoke detection using advanced deep learning and computer vision techniques. Using the You Only Look Once (YOLO) algorithm and OpenCV, our system achieves high accuracy in detecting fire and smoke in natural habitats and other environments. The framework integrates multiple functionalities, including SMS notifications for prompt alerts, Geographic Information System (GIS) integration for pinpointing the exact fire location, and environmental monitoring modules. These modules include temperature detection to assess fire intensity and wind motion analysis to predict the potential fire spread, providing critical insights for emergency response. The proposed system is designed for scalability, ease of deployment, and effective wildfire management, offering a significant step forward in proactive disaster mitigation strategies. Experimental results demonstrate the system’s robustness and its potential in enhancing safety measures for real-time wildfire monitoring.
