摘要

Camera and Graphical Processing Unit technology are enabling a new generation of image inspection and quality control charting methods in manufacturing. A critical aspect of meeting processing time requirements is exploiting the specific computer architecture relating to Graphical Processing Units (GPUs) and Central Processing Units (CPUs). Using a real work automotive body-in-white inspection problem, we compare alternative processing methods. The results show dramatic improvements from exploiting combinations of GPUs and CPUs.
