In this chapter, I try to analyze the laws of armed conflict from a feminist perspective. I try to explain how capitalist patriarchy makes the law stereotypical, gender-biased and hostile towards women. I reemphasize that the treaty-law by and large reflects a male view of armed conflict. It ignores the fact that women experience war in a much more different and atrocious way. Accordingly, I provide a detailed analysis of how the law is based on patriarchal notions and how it makes the conditions of women even worse in some situations during an armed conflict. The chapter argues that from a humanitarian perspective, the notion of humanity in the laws of armed conflict largely means masculinity. Lastly, I ring an alarm in respect of the attempts of dilution and hegemonic appropriation of the feminist movement.
