Remote Data Attestation using Blockchain for Low-End IoT Devices: Enhancing Security through Trustworthy Verification
摘要
In the rapidly expanding Internet of Things (IoT) landscape, remote attestation has emerged as a pivotal security measure, playing a crucial role in safeguarding the integrity and authenticity of IoT devices. With the exponential growth and interconnection of IoT devices, ensuring their security becomes increasingly challenging. Remote attestation comes with several challenges, including the requirements for freshness, determinism, and atomicity. In this article, we propose a blockchain-based attestation process which provides a decentralized and secure way to store and manage the attestation data. A dependable attestation mechanism is proposed for safeguarding the authenticity and integrity of low-end IoT devices. The role of blockchain technology enhances the attestation process by providing a decentralized and secure platform for attestation data storage. The use of blockchain enables the creation of IoT swarms that can improve the overall security and performance of the network. The proposed scheme provides an in-depth analysis of remote attestation for IoT devices. It emphasizes utilizing blockchain to optimize this process and establish secure attestation.
