This research aims to analyze career planning for new students of the Physical Education, Health, and Recreation (PEHR) Department and its relation to graduate profile agreement that also a background all researcher comes from. This descriptive-quantitative research was carried out using a survey. It was conducted at the PEHR Department Faculty of Sport Science (FIK) Yogyakarta State University (UNY) and engaged first-year new students. Data collection steps were designing the scope of research problems, gathering information through observation, online guiding through Zoom Meeting, interviewing, distributing questionnaires, and processing data. The subjects were 132 s-semester new students of the PEHR Department FIK UNY, males or females aged 18–20 years old. In terms of the knowledge aspect, 120 (90.6%) new students conveyed that they had planned their professional careers, understood the graduate profile, agreed with the graduate profile, and believed that they would achieve a career suggested by the graduate profile. In terms of the motivational aspect, 126 (95.2%) new students perceived conveniences studying in the PEHR Department, had full motivations, had internal and external supporting their studies, and had no regret about enrolling in the Department or the field of expertise. In terms of the actualization aspect, 110 (83.9%) new students did not perceive any internal and external issue which might hamper their studies, would select one of the work choices from the graduate profile, and had no desire for working not pursuant to the graduate profile. Finally, in terms of planning aspects, 99 (75.35%) new students had a plan and determination to pursue further studies, perceived internal and external environments advocating the plan, and had financial resources used to realize it.
