The talent scouting test instrument is one of the most important factors in fostering tennis achievement, according to the Ministry of National Education (2003:7), because it can identify tennis athletes’ talent. Therefore, a special tennis scouting test instrument is needed to screen prospective athletes with potential from an early age or teenager. The research objectives are: (1) Developing a talent scouting test based on narrative review and expert validation; (2) Testing the simplicity of tennis reactive agility tests; (3) Testing the empirical validity of the tennis talent scouting test. This research method used a mixed method of the qualitative and quantitative research approach. The number of participants is seven experts determined by the expertise criteria of evaluation experts and tennis experts or both. This research’s first stage was developing a test instrument for tennis talent scouting. The second stage was content validation with a total of seven experts. Data collection techniques used the Delphi method. The research instrument used a questionnaire. Data analysis used the Aiken V formula. From the results of the Aiken V table with a rater of 7 (seven) and a scale of 4 (four), the minimum criterion value of Aiken is 0.76. Therefore, based on these results, the tennis talent scouting test has high content validity. The results of this study indicate that tennis coaches can use tennis talent scouting tests to assist in identifying talent or potential in tennis, which can be developed into further research to test the reliability between raters or to test the empirical validity and re-test the test reliability.
