The background of this research is to address the results of sports learning which have not been able to achieve the performance target of 78 out of the total assessment results which include academic and skills assessments. The average achievement of the results of the sports subject assessment at SMP Negeri 2 Sleman is 75.65 for grade VII, 65.34 for grade VIII and 77.08 for grade IX. The purpose of this research is to increase the results of sports subject scores through the implementation of differentiated learning model. The differentiated learning model is a learning model based on various student competencies, so students receive services according to their talents, interests, student environment and competencies. The results of the implementation of differentiated learning show that there is good learning motivation, based on analytical studies showing that intrinsic motivation (IM) is 84.53 and extrinsic motivation is 77.67 in very good categories. Based on the results of the assessment, it showed good progress. The average achievement in the mid-semester assessment is 72.02 to 76.39 in the final semester assessment. These results are obtained from the implementation for 3 months. Based on these results it can be concluded that the differentiated learning model is proven to be able to increase student motivation in learning sports and can improve learning outcomes.
