Ultrasonic Assisted Formation of ZIF-8 on Activated Charcoal
摘要
Metal organic framework synthesized material have been found to exhibit appreciable pseudocapacitance when studied as electrode material in supercapacitors. This work reports the synthesis of zinc metal organic framework on activated charcoal (Zn-MOF@AC) and its study by FESEM and FTIR. A wide range of ZIF-8 microparticles structured in form of leaf were found distributed on activated charcoal particles. Also, the presence of Zn-N vibration, imidazole ring bending vibrations and C = N vibration were also found to signify the presence of Zn-MOF. Zn-MOF@AC, which consists of a zinc metal organic framework integrated with porous AC possessing a large surface area, can exhibit appreciable pseudocapacitive properties.
